Recycling Policy

The Public Prosecution Department supports the recycling and waste management approach and strives to continue contributing to the promotion of this sound environmental trend and instilling it among the department’s employees. This is achieved by adopting proper methods for waste disposal and its safe and healthy treatment to protect the environment and ensure its sustainability.

This policy is based on increasing the rate of waste reuse or recycling, which includes resource recovery and waste treatment using the best and most appropriate methods. Certain practices have been prohibited:

  • Disposal of liquid waste in landfills.

  • Releasing refrigerant gases and ozone-depleting substances into the atmosphere.

  • Disposal of recyclable solid waste in landfills.

Waste reduction involves creating public awareness and providing educational programs to employees on waste reduction methods and techniques:

  • Reducing paper use by encouraging electronic correspondence and archiving.

  • Avoiding the purchase of unnecessary food items and shopping bags.

In addition, waste reuse includes processes such as sorting, cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing, where damaged furniture can be repaired and maintained for reuse. Companies have responded by producing environmentally friendly products with various programs for refurbishing printer cartridges, computers, and mobile phones.
